Who can join the Friends of the Supergrid?
Any company or Association declaring its interest in the promotion and creation of the Supergrid can apply for Membership.
Supergrid is defined as "a pan-European transmission network facilitating the integration of large-scale renewable energy and the balancing and transportation of electricity, with the aim of improving the European market".
Why to join the Friends of the Supergrid?
By joining the Association, you will be directly involved in the policy, promotion and development of the European Supergrid and be able to influence the European policy at the highest level.
FOSG is able to present 'cradle to grave' interconnection solutions to policy makers and others looking to develop energy policy across Europe through to 2050.
You will be part of the group of companies representing the whole supply chain that will deliver the Supergrid, from the creation of the HVDC infrastructure and related technology, to the development, installation, ownership and operation of that infrastructure.
You will have access to FOSG information and will be able to participate in the Association activities and events.
How to join?
There are different possibilities for becoming a Friend of the Supergrid. You can join the Association as:
- Member with an annual fee, as approved by the Board
- Associate Member with half of the Member annual fee, as approved by the Board
- Friend of the Friends for free
